Boulder, Colorado - Special, Municipal, Mail Ballot Election Problems
 
The City of Boulder will conduct a single-issue special election on July 10, 2007.  The election is to fill a vacancy in the Boulder City Council.
 
Boulder County has been contracted to provide election equipment and services.  The County has subcontracted the election to Hart InterCivic.   
 
May 15 -- County Canvass Board Member requests City to not conduct election by mail ballot.
May 17 -- CAMBER asks to review mail ballot plan before it is approved.
June  1 -- CAMBER files Notice that City is violating Article VII, section 8 of the Colorado Constitution. 
 
May   9 -- Sheriff will supervise inmates who work at the county's recycling facility.
